Bumblebees

These posters, which I designed after collecting data from the veterinary faculty and beekeepers in Croatia, are part of a larger installation. Still, they can also stand as work on their own, appearing in public places as new information.

Over the past century, several bumblebee and solitary bee species have declined in range and abundance. Threats include habitat loss and fragmentation, pesticides, parasites, pathogen spillover, and climate change. Within the piece, the aim is to silently transform one’s soul; to enjoy listening and watching wild pollinators. Bumblebee buzzing disappearance is a metaphor for lacking our capabilities to center, calm, communicate, and be in the moment now with each other.
